Tony-

For the GARP problems, you need to copy the Garp_defaults file from
wxbox over to winfo2. The one in the distribution is different from
the one you are running on wxbox.

To do that, log into winfo2 as user gempak. Then:

cd $GARPHOME/config (go to the Garp config directory)
cp Garp_defaults Garp_defaults.dist (make a backup copy)
ftp wxbox (ftp to wxbox, log in as gempak)
cd /home/gempak/NAWIPS-5.4/garp/config (go to the Garp config directory)
get Garp_defaults (get the config file)
quit (exit ftp)

Start up Garp from NTL and see if things work correctly now.

As for NWX, I ran it from winfo2 and I was able to get them up.
It takes a while for the station circles to appear because it
does it dynamically from which stations report. You will get
a message:

PRODUCT STATION " KEAT " not found in table.

but after a while you should get some station circles. I was
able to get the CO State Discussion for today:

SHORT TERM DISCUSSION FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO:
I WILL BE SPEEDING THINGS UP A BIT WITH THIS SHORTWAVE AS LATEST
MODELS SHOW CLEARING WORKING INTO NRN CO BY 18Z. THIS SYSTEM IS
WEAKER IN ALL RESPECTS THAN YESTERDAYS...FAIRLY HIGH CEILING WITH A
LITTLE VIRGA IS ALL I CAN FIND UPSTREAM. GIVEN THIS AND THE FASTER
SPEED...I WILL DROP THE MENTION OF FLURRIES ON THE PLAINS EXCEPT
AROUND LIMON AND WARM TEMPS A BIT IN SOME OF THE ZONES. JUST ENOUGH
WIND AND MOISTURE AT MOUNTAINTOP TO SQUEEZE OUT LIGHT SNOW FOR 6-9
HOURS...BUT THAT SHOULD BE ENDING THIS AFTERNOON. GIMMESTAD

LONG TERM DISCUSSION FOR COLORADO: TIMING THE PASSAGE OF WK SHRTWVS
MOVG ALG STG NWLY FLOW ALOFT REMAINS TO BE BIGGEST CHALLENGE. NXT
SHRTWV PASSING OVR WY/NRN UT ATTM MARKED BY CLOUD BAND ON IR SATL LOOP
AND A NARROW LN OF ECHOS ON NOWRAD FCST TO PASS THRU STATE BY END OF
1ST PD. FORWARD SPD AS MUCH AS 6 HRS FASTER THAN WAS PROGGD BY PREV
MDL RUNS. THEREFORE CLOUD CVR AND SNOWFALL FOR NRN AND CNTRL MTNS IN
CURRENT FCST WILL NEED TO BE ADJUSTED DOWNWARD IN 2ND PD. ETA..NGM
AND AVN ALL SHOW TROF AXIS ALG ERN CO BORDER BY 00Z. EVEN THAT APRS
A FEW HRS TOO SLOW. SEE SVRL HRS OF CAA THIS EVE WITH THERMAL TROF AXIS
PASSAGING THRU STATE BEFORE 12Z/THU. COMBINATION OF CAA AND NWLY WNDS

COLD AIR WILL REMAIN TRAPPPED IN VLYS BUT SHOULD SEE A 5 TO 10 DEG F

IN THE EXTENDED PD...TEMPS EVEN WARMER E OF MTNS ON FRI WITH W-NWLY
DOWNSLOPE FLOW ASSOCIATED WITH LEE TROFG. A BIT MORE MIXING WILL ALSO
HELP TO WARM DAYTIME TEMPS IN THE WRN VLYS. HWVR WARMUP MAY BE
TEMPERED A BIT BY INCREASE IN MIDLVL CLOUD CVR ACCORDING TO AVN.
MRF AND THE NAVY'S NOGAPS SHOW LTL CHG THRU THE WEEKEND AS UPR LVL
