Max,

The NAM212 data has been transitioned from GRIB1 format to GRIB2 format. To
keep up to date
with CONDUIT changes, be sure to sign up for the conduit email list.

You can find current CONDUIT NAM212 patterns here:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/conduit/ldm_idd/nam_files.html

A replacement pattern that matches the grib2 data in the data stream would be:
request CONDUIT "prod/nam.*awip3d" idd.unidata.ucar.edu

CONDUIT prod/nam\.(..........)/nam\.t(..)z\.awip3d
           FILE -flush data/conduit/\1\2_nam212.grb

A complete NAM212 run in GRIB2 is about 180MB rather than the 450MB
in grib2 format.
