[AWIPS #RXW-626267]: AWIPS Cave General Questions

Okay, looking at your d2dContourStyles.xml file on our EDEX, you need to remove
the line:
<increment>500</increment>

Because you are replacing that with your more specific rules.

The color "apricot" is not recognized. You can use the hex code for it "#FBCEB1"

Then you'll need to include both the min and max for your ranges, and then
specify the increment.

   <styleRule>
        <paramLevelMatches>
            <parameter>PBE</parameter>
            <parameter>CAPE</parameter>
            <parameter>cCape</parameter>
            <parameter>loCape</parameter>
            <parameter>muCape</parameter>
            <parameter>dCape</parameter>
        </paramLevelMatches>
        <contourStyle>
            <displayUnits>J/kg</displayUnits>
            <contourLabeling labelSpacing="4">
                <increment color="#FBCEB1" lineStyle="SOLID"
max="1000">500</increment>
                    <increment color="coral" lineStyle="SOLID" min="1000"
max="1500">500</increment>
                    <increment color="orange" lineStyle="SOLID" min="1500"
max="2000">500</increment>
                    <increment color="red" lineStyle="SOLID" min="2000"
max="3000">500</increment>
                    <increment color="maroon" lineStyle="SOLID"
min="3000">500</increment>
            </contourLabeling>
        </contourStyle>
    </styleRule>

One thing to note, is as you zoom in, the increment decreases and more contours
get plotted.

If you only want to view specific values, then you'll have to use the value tag
(step 15 in the walk through)
