[AWIPS #WCV-509365]: EDEX install question - leftover "rpms" dir

None of that makes sense to just stop working...could it be a possible network 
change?

I guess I would start with:

ldmadmin start 

And see if that gives you any errors (usually we want to start LDM using 
edex_ldm but if that is giving us issues 'ldmadmin start' could give us more 
error output).
