IDD NEXRAD Routing Scheme

This pages defines the two levels of routing for transmission of the NOAAPORT NEXRAD data via the IDD. Below a list is provided for each level of routing. The first list defines routing between source sites (sites that ingest data from a satellite dish) and first tier sites. The second list defines routing between first tier sites and all other sites.

1. First Level Routing

Listed below in italics are the source sites and assignments for first tier sites they may feed.

motherlode.ucar.edu

sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu

frost.wunderground.com

sirocco.srcc.lsu.edu

2. Second Level Routing

Listed below are the first tier sites in italics, and assignments for other sites that may get NEXRAD data from them. Where multiple LDM hosts are on the same subnet, they are listed on the same line; only one of these hosts should request NEXRAD data from an upstream site.
