SUBJECT: Two NWS Upper Air Stations to Begin Use of the GPS
          Lockheed Martin LMS-6 Radiosonde with the Radiosonde
          Replacement Systems (RRS) in November 2013
Two NWS upper air sites are scheduled to transition from the GPS
Lockheed Martin Mark IIA radiosonde to the GPS Lockheed Martin
LMs-6 radiosonde on or about the dates listed below.

Greensboro, NC    72317      KGSO       November 20, 2013
Blacksburg, VA    72318      KRNK       November 25, 2013

No missed observations are expected to occur during the
equipment transition. The WMO Radiosonde Identification Code for
the LMS-6 Radiosonde is 82.
