Subject: Soliciting Comments on the Experimental World Area
Forecast System Grid Visualization from June 26, 2013,
          to July 26, 2013.

NWS is soliciting comments on the Experimental World Area
Forecast System Grids (WAFS) Visualization from June 26, 2013, to
July 26, 2013.

The Experimental WAFS Grids Visualization is a set of graphics
created from existing WAFS grids, part of the existing NWS
product suite. These gridded forecasts are produced and
disseminated operationally in the GRIB2 data format. This
experimental website will allow the gridded data to be displayed
as a multi-colored image with a color-coded key provided to
relate the colors to numerical values. The images will be
provided for each time step and level in the WAFS Global Grids.

The Experimental WAFS Grids Visualization provides GRIB2 coded
format in a properly decoded and graphically displayed format. It
will also support NWS World Area Forecast Center (WAFC)
forecasters produce High and Midlevel Significant Weather (SIGWX)
charts consistent with the WAFS Global Grids GRIB2 formatted
forecasts.

The Experimental WAFS Grids Visualization is available at:

http://testbed.aviationweather.gov/wafs

The WAFS Global Grids are produced by the NWS World Area Forecast
Center Washington in support and in accordance with United States
international agreements with the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO) and its global members.
