 DISPLAYS AND DISCONTINUANCE OF CURRENT NWS RADAR
 IMAGERY: EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 21, 2006

AMENDED TO CHANGE THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SERVICE CHANGE TO
TUESDAY FEBRUARY 21 INSTEAD OF TUESDAY JANUARY 31 2006...AND TO
MAKE REFERENCE TO THE AVAILABILITY OF A LOW BANDWIDTH VERSION.

ON TUESDAY FEBRUARY 21 2006 AT 1800 COORDINATED UNIVERSAL TIME
/UTC/... ALL NWS RADAR WEB LINKS WILL BE REDIRECTED TO RIDGE
RADAR WEBPAGES...INCLUDING NATIONAL COMPOSITE IMAGES.  IF
FEBRUARY 21 2006 IS DECLARED A NATIONAL CRITICAL WEATHER DAY...
IMPLEMENTATION WILL OCCUR ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY NOT DECLARED
A CRITICAL WEATHER DAY.

THE RIDGE RADAR WEBPAGES WILL PROVIDE REAL-TIME POLYGON WARNINGS
ISSUED BY WEATHER FORECAST OFFICES ON TOP OF REAL-TIME
GEOREFERENCED RADAR IMAGES.  THESE WEBPAGES WILL ALSO ALLOW
USERS TO TOGGLE GEOGRAPHIC OVERLAYS AND TOGGLE BETWEEN RADAR
DATA TYPES.  THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON RIDGE
RADAR WEBPAGES:

N0R - BASE REFLECTIVITY - 124 NMI RANGE (0.50 DEGREE)
NCR - COMPOSITE REFLECTIVITY - 16 LEVELS, 124 NMI RANGE
N0V - BASE RADIAL VELOCITY - 124 NMI RANGE (0.50 DEGREE)
N0S - STORM RELATIVE MEAN RADIAL VELOCITY (0.50 DEGREE)
N1P - SURFACE RAINFALL ACCUMULATION - ONE HOUR RUNNING TOTAL
NTP - SURFACE RAINFALL ACCUMULATION - STORM TOTAL
N0Z - BASE REFLECTIVITY - 248 NMI RANGE (0.50 DEGREE)

IN ADDITION, A LOW BANDWIDTH VERSION OF THESE PAGES WILL BE
AVAILABLE.

SURVEYS WERE RECEIVED AND ANALYZED.
