Meteosat Second Generation (Commissioning Operations)

The EUMETCast dissemination trial is ongoing.

On 28 October 2003 (day 03.301) at 13:00 UTC it is planned to start the
dissemination of the IMPF level 1.5 images instead of the IQGSE level
1.5 ones. A short interruption to the SEVIRI dissemination during
working hours is to be expected. Some differences are to be expected in
the headers, image quality and compression efficiency. More details
about the differences in the headers can be found at:

http://www.eumetsat.de/en/dps/news/pdf/delta_IQGSE-IMPF_images.pdf

Interruptions to dissemination or image quality degradation will
continue to occur as commissioning progresses. The HRV window position
will be affected by the on going commissioning tests. SEVIRI gain
setting adjustment may be required from time to time.

Dissemination Schedules:

Meteosat 0 deg Service: current schedule S0011M01.
