ATTENTION USERS OF WIND PROFILER DATA IN KBOU BULLETINS

CORRECTION TO IMPLEMENTATION DATE.  IT SHOULD BE MAY 28

ON MAY 28 BUFR ENCODED DATA FROM PROFILERS OPERATED BY COOPERATING
AGENCIES /CAP/ WILL BE MOVED FROM BULLETINS WITH A WMO HEADING OF
IUPT43 KBOU TO BULLETINS WITH A WMO HEADING OF IUPT46 KBOU.  THIS
INCLUDES PROFILERS FORMERLY KNOWN BY THE COLLECTIVE NAME BOUNDARY
LAYER PROFILERS /BLP/ OPERATING IN THE RANGE OF FREQUENCIES
ABOVE 449 MHZ.  IN THE NEAR FUTURE THIS CAP DATA WILL ALSO INCLUDE
OTHER TROPOSPHERIC PROFILERSOPERATING WITH FREQUENCIES
BELOW 449 MHZ.

PROFILERS OPERATED BY THE NOAA PROFILER NETWORK /NPN/ AT
FREQUENCIES OF 449 AND 404 MHZ WILL CONTINUE TO BE DISTRIBUTED IN
BULLETINS WITH A WMO HEADING OF IUPT43 KBOU.

THE INTERNAL FORMAT OF MESSAGES WITH THESE HEADINGS WILL NOT
CHANGE.

RASS /IUPT41 KBOU/ AND MOMENT /IUPT42 KBOU/ DATA FROM ALL
PROFILERS COLLECTED BY THE NPN WILL NOT CHANGE THEIR WMO HEADINGS.
