Recently copies of the report

 "Update on the NWS Modernization: Data Issues for Universities", Linda
 Miller, Unidata Program Center, October 1992 (second revision)

were sent to Unidata sites.  Copies of the report are available from Unidata
(email lmiller@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).  The report summarizes the new observation
systems' status and includes a state-by-state breakdown, with site
identifiers, of systems associated with the NWS modernization.

A file is now available for retrieval via anonymous FTP that contains the
information used to produce the large station map that accompanies the
report:
