HAVE BEEN COMMISSIONED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ... USERS
NOTIFIED AND SERVICES CONFIRMED ... THE MAJOR CRITERIA FOR
DECOMMISSIONING THE WSR-74C AT CHATTANOOGA ... TENNESSEE ...
(RADAR IDENTIFIER - CHA) HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.  THEREFORE ... THE
CHATTANOOGA WSR-74C RADAR WILL BE DECOMMISSIONED OFFICIALLY ON
WEDNESDAY ... JUNE 10 ... 1998.
 
DECOMMISSIONING MEANS THAT THIS RADAR IS NO LONGER ISSUING
PRODUCTS ... SUCH AS THE RADAR OBSERVATION (ROB) MESSAGE ... IN
AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY.
