RADAR (WSR-88D) HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE ... USERS NOTIFIED AND SERVICES CONFIRMED ... THE MAJOR
CRITERIA FOR DECOMMISSIONING THE WSR-74C AT BURLINGTON (RADAR
IDENTIFIER - BTV) HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.  THEREFORE ... THE
BURLINGTON WSR-74C RADAR WILL BE DECOMMISSIONED OFFICIALLY ON
THURSDAY ... JANUARY 29 ... 1998.
 
DECOMMISSIONING MEANS THAT THIS RADAR IS NO LONGER ISSUING
PRODUCTS ... SUCH AS THE RADAR OBSERVATION (ROB) MESSAGE ... IN
AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY.
