SURVEILLANCE RADAR /WSR-88D/ HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED BY THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ... USERS NOTIFIED AND SERVICES
CONFIRMED ... THE MAJOR CRITERIA FOR DECOMMISSIONING WSR-74C
AT MUSKEGON ... MICHIIGAN /RADAR IDENTIFIER - MKG/ HAVE BEEN
COMPLETED.  THEREFORE ... THE MUSKEGON WSR-74C RADAR WILL BE
DECOMMISSIONED OFFICIALLY ON TUESDAY ... AUGUST 13 ... 1996.

DECOMMISSIONING MEANS THAT THIS RADAR IS NO LONGER ISSUING
PRODUCTS ... SUCH AS THE RADAR OBSERVATION /ROB/ MESSAGE ...
IN AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY.
