SUBJECT:  UPPER AIR STATION MOVE FROM CENTREVILLE, AL TO
          SHELBY COUNTY AIRPORT, AL

Effective August 22, 1994, at 1200 UTC, the upper air program at
Weather Service Meteorological Observatory (WSMO) Centreville, AL
(location identifier CKL) will begin moving to Weather Service
Forecast Office (WSFO) Shelby County Airport, AL. (location
identifier BMX).

The last upper-air observation from WSMO Centreville will be
taken at 1200 UTC on August 22, 1994.  The first upper-air
observation from WSFO Shelby County Airport will be taken at 0000
UTC on August 23, 1994.  In conjunction with this move, the
product identifier (XXX) will change from CKL to BMX.  The node
(CCC) for these products will remain BHM.  The block and station
id will change from 72229 to 72230, and the WBAN number will
change from 03881 to 53823.
