compile on linux/lf95

I am attempting to compile netcdf 3.5.0 on a linux machine using gcc 
and Lahey FORTRAN lf95.  I got into trouble with the cfortran.h file 
which does not recognize this compiler.  What should I do about this?  
I suppose different code is invoked depending on the compiler and ??
