announcement: NetCDF Java Library 2.0 beta

A beta version of NetCDF Java Library 2.0 is available at

  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf-java/

Since the last release March 1, two new features are added:

1)  ucar.nc2.VariableStandardized allows the user to handle packed data 
and missing values in standard ways.

2) NetCDF files can be accessed via HTTP. This is based on work from 
Donald Denbo (and others) and the HTTPClient library from Ronald Tschalär.
