netcdf on x86 Solaris (pc)

To whom it may concern:

I have built netcdf on a Intel P6 box running Solaris 5.4, X86 (i86pc) with
some success, but have encountered several problems which we don't
see on Sun Sparcs running Solaris 5.4. I am interested if anyone has
attempted something similar, and if there have been other reported problems
with this port.

Please email your response, if you've one, to me laschoo@xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for your attention.
