I"m looking for a program to convert NODC SD2 format to netCDF.
Do you envision converting the entire database, or just pieces of it
on the fly?
I'm working right now on rearranging the SD2 data, sorting them by
time. They would be easy to browse in NetCDF format. But, since they
are irregularly distributed in x,y,z, and t, and each profile has a
different number of samples, it is difficult to come up with an efficient
way to store them as NetCDF's.
Have you had any thoughts as to how they could be arranged?
