20040206: IMPORTANT: atm.geo.nsf.gov outage this weekend!!!

>From: Unidata User Support <support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
>Organization: Unidata Program Center/UCAR
>Keywords: IDD failover

IDD users of atm.geo.nsf.gov:

The top level IDD node atm.geo.nsf.gov will be down for up to 13 hours
starting 5 pm EST tomorrow, Saturday February 7.

All sites using atm as their _sole_ IDD feed site should failover to
one of the following top level IDD nodes before 5 pm EST tomorrow:

unidata2.ssec.wisc.edu
seistan.srcc.lsu.edu
emo.unidata.ucar.edu
thelma.ucar.edu (last resort!)

Sites that are feeding redundantly from atm and another IDD node need
do nothing.

NOTES:

- all machines are accessible over Internet2
- all machines have allows for *.edu, *.edu.ca, and *.org (cola).
- thelma.ucar.edu is already heavily loaded. If possible use one of
the three other machines listed above.
- only emo and thelma have CONDUIT data

Please send any questions/comments/problems to Unidata Support.
