To add fuel to the fire in this discussion, RedHat and SuSe are
now going to be offering educational discounts.
RedHat will be offering academic versions of RedHat WS and ES
(basically) for $25 and $50 respectively.
SuSe is offering 40% discounts to academic customers through
a few resellers.
