Hi Norman:

We moved the THREDDS server to our "operational" port:

 http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8080/thredds/

We will be continuing to run on 8088 as our "development" server, but it may be 
another day before its back up.
Sorry for the trouble.

So from now on, use 8080 when you want the stable version, 8088 for the latest 
improvements.
