  • Action Item 1: The Policy Committee will compose a letter to the Deans of the IDD
    Relay sites with copies to IT and site representatives. The letter should
    explain the relay's importance to the Earth sciences community, and, the
    reason for the size and the importance of the data being moved (handout)
  • Action Item 2: The UPC will solicit a letter of support from the National Weather Service (Greg Mandt or Jack Kelly to sign) for its Outstanding Achievement award nomination materials. Linda will coordinate this with Leroy Spayd. (Status: Done)
  • Action Item 3: Ben will contact Jeff Reaves to discuss the private sector's needs for access to real-time weather data and invite him or a representative of Peak Weather to the February Policy Committee meeting to discuss how Peak Weather could work with the UPC on the Level II/CONDUIT issue. (Status: Done, Friday agenda item)
