New members include:

• Marty Baxter, Central Michigan University (Users Committee)
• Jennifer Collins, University of South Florida (Users Committee)
• Gerry Creager Texas A&M University (Users Committee)
• Bart Geerts, University of Wyoming (Users Committee)

8:00 - Continental Breakfast

Mohan Ramamurthy provided a Unidata overview and welcoming remarks

Tom Whittaker, Chair, Users Committee attended and discussed the mission and range of activities taken on by the Users Committee on behalf of the Unidata community.

The orientation was an informal meeting that was meant to benefit new members as well as Unidata staff. The staff provided short summaries of their jobs, followed by the new members discussing how they use Unidata tools, data and software at their universities.

Unidata's orientation sessions have been sporadic, due to difficulties in scheduling an additional day for new members to travel. This meeting was followed by the afternoon Users Committee Meeting, and Joint Committee meeting.
