The Unidata Program Center is hiring! We are looking for a software engineer to join our open source efforts related to Unidata's Local Data Manager (LDM) package and community use of the LDM via the Internet Data Distributions (IDD) system.
Specifically, we are looking for a person who will:
Assist in the development and community use and deployment of the LDM software package;
Employ a working knowledge of software engineering practices in version control, build systems, release management, unit testing, continuous integration, and defect management;
Collaborate with community users on remote installation and troubleshooting of LDM/IDD issues; and
Advise and resolve community support inquiries about the installation, configuration, and use of the LDM.

Nathaniel Martinez joined the Unidata Program Center as a student summer intern on May 31, 2022. He is a rising 4th year student at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, where he is working towards a double major in computer science and environmental science.
Rhoen Fiutak joined the Unidata Program Center as a student summer intern on May 23, 2022. She completed her bachelor's degree in physics from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT in May 2019 and went on to complete her master's degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA in August 2021. She is entering her second year as a master's student at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO this fall, in the applied mathematics program.
Hassanpreet Kaur Dhaliwal joined the Unidata Program Center as a student summer intern on May 23, 2022. She completed her undergraduate and master's degrees in Physics from Panjab University in India, and moved to United States in January 2021 for her graduate studies in Atmospheric Science at Texas Tech University.
The Unidata Program Center is hiring! We are looking for a scientific data engineer to join our team in creating and maintaining software and data services to support the geosciences.
We are looking for an atmospheric science data expert to help us help our community of scientists access the Earth system science data that fuels their research. Specifically, we are looking for a person who is familiar with geoscience data in a variety of forms, who can help Unidata and its community effectively access those data.
