Command Purpose

ARGHELP

List on-line help for McIDAS command line syntax.

BKGRUN

Sends a command to the operating system.

CCODE Lists country codes.
COMBINE Combines three McIDAS frames into a single 24-bit image.
CU Lists a quantity in up to eight different units.
DATELIST Lists the specified date in several formats.
FIND Locates U. S. towns by name and state.
FRMSAVE Saves a McIDAS frame to one of several image formats.
GLOBKEY Lists global keyword parameters and examples.

LOOPIT

Runs a command on each frame in a loop.

LVF Lists virtual frame files.

MCRUN

Execute a command after evaluating string variables.

MKRAOBID

Create ASCII file of information about mandatory level upper airstations.

PATH

Displays 2-dimensional path for object tracking.

RVF Restores virtual frames saved with command SVF.
S Lists Metar, Synoptic and RAOB stations within the cursor bounds.
STNLIST Lists weather stations.
STNPLOT Plots stations on a navigated frame.
SUNLIT Lists the sunrise and sunset times for a specified location.
SVF Saves frames to a virtual frame file.

TENTER

Enter strings defined in text file into the string table.

TIMEOUT Runs a McIDAS command, stopping it after a waiting period.

VRTIMG

Merges a virtual graphic with an AREA.

WAIT

Pause a user-specified interval of time.
