netCDF File Exploration with Unidata Tools and Python APIs

I was asked by a colleague to visualize data contained within a netCDF file. I used the IPython Notebook technology along with Unidata Tools and Python APIs to achieve this objective. Because this exercise was both challenging and interesting, I want to share this notebook with the community.
