Hi Ghansham, the TDS-WMS service already supports wind barbs (and some other vector styles) and they will be available for your datasets as long as they have the right CF or grib components. Here is a example: http://motherlode.ucar.edu:9080/thredds/wms/grib/NCEP/DGEX/CONUS_12km/best?LAYERS=wind%20@%20Isobaric%20surface&ELEVATION=25000&TRANSPARENT=true&STYLES=barb/rainbow&CRS=EPSG:4326&COLORSCALERANGE=-50%2C50&NUMCOLORBANDS=20&LOGSCALE=false&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&EXCEPTIONS=application/vnd.ogc.se_inimage&FORMAT=image/png&SRS=EPSG:4326&BBOX=-140.14654339665,19.879140775989,-56.175327906289,49.904198772562&WIDTH=768&HEIGHT=600 Note the requested layer is "wind @ Isobaric surface" which is a virtual variable created by the TDS-ncWMS from the components: "v-component of wind @ Isobaric surface" and "u-component of wind @ Isobaric surface" Cheers!
