The following has been supported for some time (since Bas wrote CrawlableDatasetDods) and still is supported: 1) The TDS will crawl OPeNDAP servers and generate catalogs using CrawlableDatasetDods. 2) CrawlableDatasetDods can be used programatically to crawl OPeNDAP servers.
