Hi David,

Very interesting! I am the one at Unidata that installed the IDV under
Fedora Core 4 64-bit Linux. I had no problems doing this, so I was
puzzled by why others were having a problem. Now I know that it is not
only the LDM that needs SELINIX set to 'disabled'!

>I ended up setting selinux to 'disabled' in /etc/sysconfig/selinux.

And rebooting, yes?

>I will not install selinux at all on future FC

I can't answer for Don, but I rather doubt it. It is noted for the
LDM, however.

>Or is this common knowledge to everyone but me? :-)

Nope, this was a new one for me, at least. Thanks for figuring this one
out!

Cheers,

Tom
