[netCDF #XEK-102789]: NetCDF-c configuration error

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. Looking at the config.log file you provided, I
see the following information relating to your hdf5 library:

`/usr/bin/ld: /home/bessie/install/HDF5/lib/libhdf5.a(H5F.o): relocation
R_X86_64_32S against `.rodata.str1.4' can not be used when making a PIE object;
recompile with -fPIC`

This suggests that you'll need to recompile your libhdf5 static library, and
specify CFLAGS="-fPIC" when running 'configure'.

I hope this helps!
