Hello, You can solve this by installing a newer version of netCDF-C; the latest release is 4.7.4. This issue is caused by a bug between 4.7.0 and 4.4.5; 4.4.5 makes an assumption about the filter functionality. My apologies! I hope this helps, -Ward > Hi unidata support center, > > I installed netcdf-c-4.7.0 without any issue, > > [image: image.png] > > However, when I built netcdf-fortran-4.4.5 some function cannot be defined > (please find attachment for detail configuration and make) > > ../fortran/.libs/libnetcdff.so: undefined reference to `nc_inq_var_filter' > ../fortran/.libs/libnetcdff.so: undefined reference to `nc_def_var_filter' > collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status > Makefile:1285: recipe for target 'nf_test' failed > > I also saw this solution, > https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/support/help/MailArchives/netcdf/msg13784.html > > but it does not work as well. > > Could you please help with this? > > Thank you. > > Joey/Jiaoyan > > Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: XWL-249277 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
