[netCDF #DQX-534552]: netcdf-fortran installation

Hi Tyler,

I am actually working for updates instructions on installing netCDF-Fortran on
OSX, this morning. In short, you don't need to specifically install zlib and
curl most likely, as they are typically available as part and parcel of any
development environment on OSX.

Do you happen to have the 'homebrew' package manager installed? If so, the
easiest way to install hdf5 would be via 'brew install hdf5'. That that point
you can install netcdf-c via a typical 'configure/make/make install' process.
I say typical, but if you are unfamiliar with this, I can give you more
specific instructions.

Once you have installed the base netcdf-c library, you should be set to install
netcdf fortran. Again, I can provide specific instructions if need be. The
big part, libhdf5, can best be installed via homebrew. If you don't have
homebrew installed, but are using anaconda or possibly macports (macports
should work but I have not yet tested it), let me know and I will provide
similar instructions.

Thanks, have a great day,

-Ward
