[netCDF #EMG-731344]: hi. i'm trying to build netCDF fortran

Hi Ross,

This is a new one on me. A bit of Googling later, I found a similar issue (for
a different program) here:

* https://github.com/Homebrew/legacy-homebrew/issues/45011

This suggests to me that after a system upgrade (have you recently upgraded to
OSX Catalina?) you need to reinstall the gcc compilers, e.g.

    $ brew reinstall gcc

I'll see if I can find anything else, but give this a try in the meantime and
let us know if it resolves the issue!

Thanks, have a great day,

-Ward
