Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not maintain the netCDF package for R, so I cannot speak
as to its output functionality. Looking at the ncdf4 package information, it
appears that the current maintainer is David Pierce, address@hidden
(https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/ncdf4/ncdf4.pdf). You might contact
David and see if he can provide further guidance.
My apologies for not being able to provide more immediately useful information,
