[netCDFJava #WWW-347958]: Problem with attributes of type CHAR



Sorry for the delay.

For this discussion, I will assume you have a char valued
variable like this:
    char v(d1,d2);
where d1 and d2 are some named dimensions.
So, what happens if you declare the fill value attribute like this:
      char v:_FillValue = " ";
