[netCDF #WTM-973692]: one error in installing netcdf

This is very odd. The first part of your report:
>> syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting SCAN_ATTR or SCAN_DATASET or
>> SCAN_ERROR
should be associated with a DAP2 protocol test.

And the second part seems to confirm:
>> *** testing simple opendap open/close...Sorry! Unexpected result,
>> tst_files6.c, line: 25

But the file nc_test4/tst_files6.c has no opendap tests. In fact,
I cannot find the phrase "simple opendap open/close"
anywhere in the current netcdf-c code base. What version of netcdf-c
are you building?

I am going to need to see some more context. If you are on Linux/Unix,
can you use the typescript program to capture the whole output from
"make check" and post it here? Failing that, can you see if you can locate
the file(s) containing the phrase "simple opendap open/close"?
