[netCDF #QSA-208676]: netcdf (c) compilation with hdf5 on ubuntu

Hello Timothy,

You don't mention which version of Ubuntu you're using, but `libhdf5.dll` is
typically a Windows naming convention. I would expect that you find create
either a libhdf5.so or libhdf5.a file, depending on whether you are compiling a
shared or static library.

If these files aren't being created, I'm a bit at a loss. Does the compiling
step complete successfully? Do you run 'make install'? If the answer to these
are 'yes' and you still aren't getting a libhdf5* file, you might contact
support at the HDF5 group and see if they can provide further guidance.

I hope this helps,

-Ward
