[netCDF #SVU-469069]: Problems with netcdf compilation

Hello Lya,

If I understand correctly, you have installed netCDF-Fortran (and dependencies)
manually, but are unable to use them when building packages with `scons`. Is
this correct? The issue doesn't appear to be in netCDF; rather, when trying to
compile something that links against netCDF, the compiler is complaining that
`netcdf.mod` was created by a different version of gfortran.

Are you able to link against the netCDF Fortran interface without using scons?
It sounds like scons may be using a different version of gfortran.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with scons, so I cannot tell you how to check
the version scons is using, or if it is just using the system version. I
suspect it must be using a different version, based on the error message you
are being given.

I hope this helps,

-Ward
