Hello Ananya, The reason the number changed is due to changes in the libnetcdf API/ABI between versions 4.3.3.1 and 4.4.1. I'm not familiar with macports any longer (I switched to homebrew some time ago); you may have to reinstall WRF. When linking, it should find and link against the newer libnetcdf.11.dylib. You may also contact the WRF team for any suggestions they may have. Alternatively, it looks like there is a way to use macports to explicitly install an older version of a package. You may be able to use this to reinstall netCDF 4.3.3.1. While I cannot test this method myself, you can find instructions here: * https://trac.macports.org/wiki/howto/InstallingOlderPort I hope this information helps, -Ward > Dear Unidata team > > I have been working with The Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model > and in order to compile that model netcdf and gcc have to installed. > At first I was working with netcdf 4.3.3.1 and gcc5 it works fine(I > installed with macport).
