[netCDF #BGZ-769123]: install netcdf fortran library on a MAC with openmpi

Hello,

You will need to first install the C library, which is used by the fortran
library. If you want to use parallel I/O with netCDF3, you will need to
install the parallel-netcdf package, available here:

* https://trac.mcs.anl.gov/projects/parallel-netcdf

If you want to use parallel I/O with netCDF4, you will need to install the HDF5
library (available from the HDF group) using openmpi; netCDF4 will use the file
I/O routines from HDF5.

I hope this helps, have a great day!
