[netCDF #HSI-795290]: Test Results

I'm not sure if we ever solved your problem, but the original error you got

is caused by having an old version of HDF5 (1.8.7 or earlier) installed,
which had a bug that's detected and causes a failure in recent versions of
netCDF.  Your "make check" should work fine with HDF5 versions 1.8.8 and later. 
If you have to rebuild HDF5 from source anyway, I​ ​would recommend just using 
the latest version 1.8.1​3​, as that's what​ ​we've done the most testing with.
