Sorry, at Unidata we have no experience with the MOM-5 model, and the error message above comes from the "run_regrid_3d.sh" shell script, rather than directtly from the netCDF library. As a guess, it's possible that the "_FillValue" attribute for the variable you are trying to regrid is not of the same type as the variable. For example, if the variable was of type "real", "float", or "double" and the associated "_FillValue" attribute was specified as a character string, such as salinity:_FillValue = "-999.0" ; instead of salinity:_FillValue = -999.0 ; you might get such an error, but that's just a guess ... --Russ > Regards, > > --Gennady > > -- > =================================== > > Dr. Gennady A.
