[netCDFJava #SBH-316543]: trouble running toolsUI-4.0.jar

Hi Kyoko,

I was talking to Lansing a few minutes ago when he mentioned that you
were trying to find out what the values for the NEXRAD Level III HHC
product represented. Since I knew the answer, Lansing asked me to
pass the information along to you...

The document you are looking for is:

ICD For RPG to CLASS 1 User â Build xx.x

These can be found on the NOAA website:

http://www.roc.noaa.gov/WSR88D/BuildInfo/Files.aspx

The most up to date version is currently 14.0:

http://www.roc.noaa.gov/wsr88d/PublicDocs/ICDS/2620001U.pdf

Page 3-38 of this document has a table that describes what each
level means:

    0 ND Below Threshold

   20 GC Anomalous Propagation/Ground Clutter
   30 IC Ice Crystals
   40 DS Dry Snow
   50 WS Wet Snow
60 RA Light and/or Moderate Rain

   80 BD Big Drops (rain)
   90 GR Graupel
100 HA Hail, possibly with rain
  140 UK Unknown Classification
  150 RF Range Folded

NB: levels 110, 120 and 130 are not (yet) used.

I hope that this helps...

Cheers,

Tom
