[netCDF #LCN-240709]: CMake problems

Hi Tim,

Sorry for the delayed response; it has been a busy couple of weeks with 
the 4.3.0 release and various issues associated with it. Replying to the 
general email address is perfectly fine!

Thank you for the link to the Plato IDE; neither Russ nor I were 
familiar with it.

On a Unix/Linux system, or with the Unix-like Windows environments 
(Cygwin, MSYS), the next step now would be to build the netCDF-Fortran 
libraries, linking against the netCDF-C libraries. In a 
non-Unix/Unix-like environment, however, we don't currently have a 
process for building the fortran libraries.  I took a shot at it with 
the FTN95 Personal Edition compiler from the link you provided, but I 
wasn't able to get very far.

The good news is that, with the 4.3.0 release behind us, our next 
priority is providing a way to build the netCDF-Fortran libraries for 
Windows, without the need to install Cygwin/MSYS.  In the meantime, you 
might look at using Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com). Cygwin provides a 
Linux-like environment for Windows, and even provides pre-built 
netCDF-C/Fortran libraries.

I'm sorry I can't provide a more immediately helpful answer; if I can 
provide any help using the Cygwin environment to get access to the 
netCDF-fortran libraries on Windows, please let me know!
