[netCDF #BYY-730203]: Minor Build problems for netcdf-4.1.1 on Linux Mint.

The errors were caused by an incompatibility between HDF5
version 1.8.8 with the older netCDF version 4.1.1.  You could get a 
newer version of netCDF, for example the latest official release


or the release candidate for the impending 4.3 release


to build with HDF5-1.8.10-patch1.

Alternativey, you could get an older version of HDF5 to build with netCDF 
4.1.1, for example:
