Paul- To see if you have access to motherlode at all, try this url. http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8081 If you cannot get that page, then you do not have access to our test server at all for some reason. If that works, then try this url. http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8081/dts If it works, you will get a table of various data sets (like 1day, D1, etc) and you should be able to click on, say, the DDS column for a dataset and see something.
