This is not Russ, this is Ed. And while I may not know quite as much about netCDF, I am taller, so that must count for something. Meanwhile, you should read the instruction that intel has for compiling netCDF with ifort: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/performance-tools-for-software-developers-building-netcdf-with-the-intel-compilers/ If this doesn't help, please let me know.
