[netCDFPerl #ITS-697598]: I have a question about NetCDFPerl

You could write a netCDF program or a netCDF-Perl script to do this,
but it would be very specialized.  A better strategy might be to use
a netCDF-based software package that allows for general manipulation
of netCDF datasets.  There are many such packages.  See
<http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/software.html>.

I do not know which package would be best for your purpose.  You
could post an inquiry to the netCDF-group mailing-list

package to use.
