I'm afraid that this adds no new information.

What happens when you manually execute the following command in the
directory "/DODS_DISK/DODS/perlmodules/netcdf-perl-1.2.1/src/perl"?

    PERL_DL_NONLAZY=3D1 /usr/local/bin/perl -Iblib/arch -Iblib/lib \
        -I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503/sun4-solaris \
        -I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503 test.pl
